Fire Controlman 2nd Class Robert D. Hehir, assigned the Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate USS DeWert (FFG 45) mans a 50 cal. gun mount as the ship arrives during the Navy's commemoration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812. The celebration coincides with Buffalo Navy Week, one of 15 signature events planned across America in 2012. The weeklong event commemorates the Bicentennial of the War of 1812, hosting service members from the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy.
