    Top Coalition Officer Says Seas will Remain Safe

    Capt. Zahid Ilyas, commanding officer of Pakistan Navy Ship Babur, waves to the crew of USNS John Leventhall during an underway replenishment in the Arabian Sea. PNS Babur is deployed to the Central Command area of responsibility as part of Combined Task Force 150. CTF 150 is responsible for Maritime Security Operations in the Gulf of Oman, Gulf of Aden, Red Sea, North Arabian Sea and parts of the Indian Ocean. MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment. Coalition forces conduct these operations under international maritime conventions so that commercial shipping and fishing can occur safely in the region.
