A woman with red-brown hair is smiling and assisting a young blonde toddler on a red rope climbing structure at a playground. The child is gripping the ropes while the woman supports him from behind. The setting appears to be an outdoor public park on an overcast day.

Two-year-old Brennen Day and his mom, Sgt. Danielle Day, medical logistics specialist with William Beaumont Army Medical Center, climb the rope tower together at the Better Opportunities for Single Parents’ End of the Summer Bash, Sept. 8, at Biggs Park on Fort Bliss. “Single parents need an outlet too,” Danielle Day said. “It’s hard to get out and do things when you are responsible for a child. BOSP helps single parents network, and it lets them know that they aren’t alone.”
