    SAN DIEGO (Apr 23, 2021) United States Marine Corps 1st Lt. (Ret.) Micah Weesner, celebrate with his wife Sarah Casmass after ringing the gong to celebrate the completetion of his cancer treatment onboard Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), April 23. Weesner began treatment to fight Philadelphia Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April of 2019. NMCSD's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services, and shape the future of military medicine through education, training, and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients withworld-class care anytime, anywhere.
