An F-15 Eagle form California Air National Guard’s 144th Fighter Wing takes off from the Fresno Yosemite International Airport April 24, 2021 with two C-17 Globemasters from the 452nd Air Mobility Wing parked behind them on a ramp. These aircraft are preparing to travel to Beale Air Force Base to participate in Nexus Dawn. Nexus Dawn is a readiness exercise designed to test the ability of Air Force units to generate, employ and sustain air operations in a simulated combat environment. Air Force Reserve units from Travis, Beale, March, McChord, and McConnell Air Force Bases and the Air National Guard unit out of Fresno, Calif. are participating in the large scale readiness exercise.
