DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (April 07, 2021) – DG2-Pinta a crew boat that resides in the docks at Port Ops on Diego Garcia is renamed in honor of Michael “Mickey” Spillane during a ceremony April 7, 2021. Mickey managed many liberty establishments before becoming the United Seaman’s Service Center Director. Patrons of the Seaman’s restaurant could find Mickey checking in on people and making sure they were having a good time.
