U.S. Navy Chaplain Evan Adams, H&S Battalion MCIPAC-MCB Camp Butler, brings a group of Marines to attention to read a Medal Citation in honor of Pfc. Desmond Doss at Hacksaw Ridge in Okinawa, Japan, April 16, 2021. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
