U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jacob Pankow, a low altitude air defense (LAAD) gunner, currently attached to 3d Battalion, 3d Marine Regiment, provides security during exercise Fuji Viper 21-2.2 at Nuamzu Beach, Japan, April 6, 2021. During this exercise, Marines honed tactics, techniques, and procedures to support expeditionary advanced base operations at the platoon and company level. 3/3 is forward-deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 4th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division.
