SASEBO, Japan (April 8, 2021) Operations Specialist 1st Class Jacquelyn Young, fourth from left, assigned to the amphibious assualt ship USS America (LHA 6), delivers a presentation as part of waterfront maritime warfare training conducted by the Center for Surface Combat Systems Detachment Yokosuka. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
