U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Judson Sorrellis, a mortarman with 2d Battalion, 2d Marines, ambushes a patrol during urban operations within the Central Training Area on Okinawa, Japan, April 7, 2021. This dynamic training provided small unit leaders with the opportunity to improve their tactical decision making skills in offensive and defensive operations. 2/2 is forward-deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 4th Marines, 3d Marine Division as a part of the Unit Deployment Program.
