Brigade Command Sgt. Maj. Larry Farmer checks the rear of the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter he recently exited as part of his last flight in Afghanistan on Bagram Air Field, Sept. 2, 2012 before his deployment ends. Farmer spent the deployment fulfilling regular duties as the brigade command sergeant major for 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, as well as fulfilling regular rotations as a crew member in order to give his troops time off in a high op-tempo environment.
