U.S. Army Spc. Nakeeba Lue, a native of Mt. Vernon, New York, and combat medic with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), greets a community member March 31, 2021, at the Wolstein Community Vaccination Center in Cleveland. “This mission really touches home for me,” Lue said. “Being here in Cleveland and serving the people we swore an oath to protect when we joined is really special.” Lue plans to use her education benefits from serving to pursue a career as a forensic pathologist when her time in the Army is done.
