A paratrooper verifies the grid coordinates of an outer perimeter for a defensive blocking position during a field training exercise, Aug. 26. Paratroopers assigned to 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, placed miles of concertina wire for defensive blocking positions during the Brigade's week-long field training exercise in preparation for a Joint Readiness Training Center rotation in October. As part of America's Global Response Force, the Paratroopers of the 82nd Abn. Div. consistently trains to be prepared to conduct any type of mission anywhere in the world on short notice.
