U.S. Army Spc. Elijah Robertson, a native of Tampa, Florida, and combat medic with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), normally works as a line medic in an infantry platoon but at the Wolstein Community Vaccination Center in Cleveland, his job is a little different. “It feels really good being able help the community members here,” Robertson said. “Everyone is so grateful for the work we are doing and that makes my job easier.” Robertson joined the Army for the education benefits and plans to use them to further his military career. “I’m planning to go to medical school soon,” he said. “I’d like to be an Army doctor one day.” U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
