U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Adedayo Daramola, a Denver native and pharmacy technician from the 88th Healthcare Operations Squadron stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, poses during a break at the grand opening of the at the state-led, federally-supported Ford Field COVID-19 Community Vaccination Center in Detroit, March 23, 2021. Daramola is part of a group of Airmen assigned to 1st Detachment, 64th Air Expeditionary Group that are assisting with the vaccination efforts. Daramola’s main responsibilities are drawing up COVID-19 vaccines and providing general pharmacy support to the Ford Field CVC. Daramola is excited to be using his skills for a good cause and is happy to be working with his team on this mission. On his off time, Daramola plans to get to know the city of Detroit, the culture, and learn about the city’s history. Daramola said, “I feel great about this mission because we have been trained for a time like this, and I am doing my best to support the COVID-19 vaccination efforts.” U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
