Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) continued in-person, on-site mission activities that support the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Inspector Escort effort. The OPCW exercises the responsibility to observe and verify chemical munition destruction on A 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year, on-site verification mission activities as detailed the Chemical Weapons Convention treaty.
