U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6 pick up a water bottle using the PACKBOT-510, an improvised explosive device (IED) disarming robot, as part of a class on Forward Operating Base Geronimo, Helmand province, Afghanistan, Aug. 28, 2012. Marines conducted the robot training in order to handle IEDs from a safe distance.
