The changing color of leaves and plants accentuate the Huffman Prairie Flying Field and a replica of the Wright Brothers’ hangar at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Oct. 3, 2020. The Wright Brothers utilized Torrence Huffman’s cow pasture prairie to master control of their flying machine in 1904 and 1905 and become the world’s first aerodrome. In 1990, the Huffman Prairie Flying Field was designated as a National Historic Landmark, and it was put under the administrative control of the National Park Service in 1992.
