210227-M-PQ459-1008 ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 27, 2021) – U.S. Marines and Sailors assigned to the All-Domain Reconnaissance Detachment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conduct a combat marksmanship exercise on the flight deck of expeditionary sea base USS Lewis B. Puller (ESB 3) in the Arabian Gulf, Feb. 27. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th MEU are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
