Maj. Gen. Karen E. Dyson's brother and cousins, all in the military, participated in her promotion ceremony by unfurling her two-star flag, Aug. 27, 2012 at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. Dyson is the director, Business Operations, Office of Business Transformation, and the first female Army Finance Corps officer to achieve the rank of major general.
