210302-N-RB168-0020 PITTSBURGH (March 2, 2021) – Todd DePastino, Executive Director of Veterans Breakfast Club reads a proclamation from Forrest Hills Mayor Frank Porco to Julia Parsons, who served in the Navy during WWII as a member of the Navy WAVES, (Women Accepted for Emergency Service), during her 100th birthday celebration. The city of Pittsburgh and the Veterans Breakfast Club celebrated her life and legacy with a drive-by parade and gift presentation near her home. The Veterans Breakfast Club is a nonprofit organization creating communities of listening around veterans and their stories.
