The new lightning warning system, made up of 8 light-emitting diodes (LED), is located on a hangar so it can be easily visible to Marines on the flight line on Marine Corps Air Station New River, March 1, 2021. . The new lighting warning system was created to give Marines working on the flight line quick notice of lightning strikes within five nautical miles of the air station.
