MISAWA, Japan (March 3, 2021) – Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Christopher Perez, assigned to Navy Munitions Command East Asia Division (NMC EAD) Unit Misawa, tightens a retaining ring on an inert MK 62 Quickstrike mine during quarterly training. NMCPAC EAD maintains underwater mines, torpedoes, and provides ordnance sentencing, inspection and handling in support of aviation ordnance operations.
