Christian Cody, a network transport technician, with Marine Wing Support Detachment 373, Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, walk to a designated area to post security during a mission recovery exercise as a part of their predeployment training on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Feb. 22, 2021. The exercise was a simulated aircraft salvage and recovery operation to ensure the Marines preparation for a downed aircraft. Portales is a native of San Antonio.
