A U.S. Marine reads the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal citation for Staff Sgt. Ryan Sharp, a quality assurance representative with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Training Squadron 303, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, during an award ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, Jan. 29, 2021. Sharp received the award for actions he took when a plane crashed in a Valley Center neighborhood May 31, 2020.
