For now, Fort Knox’s white-coated old Ireland Army Hospital can be seen towering over most other buildings on post, including the multi-story U.S. Army Cadet Command Headquarters. Engineers say the hospital is expected to disappear from the landscape by fall of 2021, which has sparked some to share their memories of the hospital’s nearly 64-year-old history.
