    Capt. David Kang, plans officer, 1st Battalion 297th Cavalry (Reconnaissance and Surveillance Squadron) and 2nd Lt. Troy Hicks, assistant intelligence officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Troup, 1st Battalion 297th Cavalry (Reconnaissance and Surveillance Squadron), both with the Alaska Army National Guard, work on a warning order during the staff exercise portion of Khaan Quest 12 on Aug. 16, 2012. Khaan Quest is a regularly scheduled, multinational exercise sponsored by the U.S. Army Pacific and hosted annually by the Mongolian Armed Forces.
