Sgt. 1st Class Constance Hoye receives the COVID-19 vaccine from Sgt. Josh Adair, Mississippi Medical Detachment, at Joint Force Headquarters in Jackson, Miss., Jan. 7, 2021. The COVID-19 vaccine is voluntary for Mississippi National Guard Service Members, but is strongly encouraged to maintain readiness. Hoye volunteered to take the vaccine because she “wants to be able to survive this pandemic to see my firstborn grandchild when that day happens. I would also like to get back to a normal way of life.” (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Scott Tynes)
