Kwan Jin, public health emergency officer at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit (NMRTU) Bahrain, checks the temperature alarm system of the first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine to Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain, to ensure that the shipment is within safe temperature parameters to safely administer to personnel. The vaccine will be administered in phases based on priority levels to reduce the burden of COVID-19 in high-risk populations and simultaneously mitigate risk to military operations.
