John "Jack" Roma, the commanding officer of 3rd Battalion 1st Marines, assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command, fires an M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System during a precision marksmanship range in Kuwait, Dec. 17, 2020. U.S. Marine Corps scout snipers are trained and equipped to conduct long-range surveillance and target acquisition in support of infantry battalion operations.
