SAN DIEGO (Dec. 11, 2020) Chief Hospital Corpsman Joelle Meyindjou, a Sailor assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego’s (NMCSD) Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation Program (SARP), swings an exercise rope during a Wellness and Readiness Operations (WAROps) class at the hospital’s softball field Dec. 11. WAROps consists of three physical training sessions per week, plus virtual appointments with health coaches and nutritionists to help participants meet their fitness goals. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
