Members of Headquarters, Base National Capital Region, and Department of Homeland Security gathered to pack gift bags and personal care item kits for communities neighboring the Douglas Munro Coast Guard Headquarters, in Washington, D.C., Dec. 16, 2020. Donated items were distributed through partners in the District of Columbia Housing Authority Ward 8 community and to the So That Others Might Eat (SOME) non-profit. An annual event at Base NCR, the holiday gift drive is one of two volunteer events, followed by a back-pack school supply drive that takes place each summer.
