PHILIPPINE SEA (Dec. 10, 2020) Naval Air Crewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Robert Washington, from Birmingham, Mich., assigned to the “Island Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25, hoists a litter from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter during training with French Loire-class tender, and support vessel FS Seine (A 604) to ensure both nations maintain proficiency in personnel recovery while out at sea. HSC-25, the Navy’s only forward-deployed expeditionary helicopter sea combat squadron, provides a multi-mission rotary wing capability for units in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations and maintains a Guam-based 24-hour search and rescue and medical evacuation capability, directly supporting the U.S. Coast Guard and Joint Region Marianas.
