Master Sgt. David Phillips, command surgeon noncommissioned officer in charge, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, gives a speech after his induction into the Order of Military Merit, presented by Col. Elizabeth Duque, former command surgeon, 1st TSC, at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Dec. 10, 2020. Phillips says, “it is an honor to be recognized by my senior leadership during this time. The O2M3 recognizes people who have served in an Army Medical Department for at least 10 years, and through selflessness, have made a sustained contribution to the betterment of Army Medicine. The O2M3 was founded in 1982 by the U.S. Army Health Service Command commanding general as a way to recognize excellence and promote fellowship and esprit de corps among Army Medicine members.
