A team of highly qualified sailors here are currently maintaining the vital process of nanofiltration that enables ground water from Parwan province to be utilized in the day-to-day operations of the Detention Facility in Parwan. In this photo, Petty Officer 3rd Class Joseph M. Northrup (left) and Chief Petty Officer James A. Ulmer (right), Task Group Trident, conduct maintenance on a valve leading into one of the water storage tanks. Because replacement parts are not readily available, Northrup and Ulmer fabricated parts that will allow the mission essential systems to continually supply water until they are able to acquire the manufactured parts.
