201205-A-HS292-1088 GULF OF OMAN (Dec. 5, 2020) - Sailors assigned to the patrol coastal ship USS Tempest (PC 2) fire an M-240B machine gun during a live-fire exercise in the Gulf of Oman, Dec. 5. Tempest is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three critical chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
