(Dec. 1, 2020) U.S. Navy Seabees with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 test the Instrument Set, Reconnaissance, and Surveying (ENFIRE) kit to streamline field operations onboard Naval Base Ventura County. The new kit replaces outdated surveying methods for gathering technical data. The U.S. Navy Seabees with NMCB-5 are homeported in Port Hueneme, California, conducting training on high-quality construction prior to deploying across the Indo-Pacific region.
