David McGlynn, assistant fire chief, Letterkenny Fire Department, Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD), wets the engine during a Housing ceremony, commemorating the addition of a new fire engine to the department's fleet on November 13, 2020. “The addition of this engine increases capabilities, incorporates modern safety engineering, reduces maintenance and repair time and offers advanced environmental equipment that reduces exhaust emissions,” Robert Denney, chief, Letterkenny Fire Department, said. The fire engine Housing Ceremony is a longstanding tradition within the fire service that signifies an engine being ready for duty.
