Before the Comptroller Services Portal was established the 28th Comptroller Squadrons military members were documenting tickets via an excel spread sheet where the drives with stored information could be easily corrupted losing everything on it, but the CSP decreases that risk and is more useful for storing and tracking data while providing analytics to other agencies in the Air Force.
