Rescue technicians assigned to the 1152nd and 1153rd Firefighting Team Detachment, 877th Engineer Battalion, 226th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, prepares to remove contaminated clothing from a mannequin, posing as an injured civilian, prior to decontaminating the citizen during a search and evacuation Vibrant Response 13 field training exercise at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Ind., Aug. 8. After rescuing the injured civilians from a collapsed parking garage with possible hazardous contaminants, Alabama National Guardsmen out of Haleyville, Ala., decontaminated the citizens and ensured they were ready for immediate transport to the nearest medical facility. During the Vibrant Response homeland disaster training, the detachment worked to rescue civilians from the collapsed parking garage.
