First Lieutenant Andrew S. Trossen explains safety precautions to Marines during a base repair after attack training event (BRAAT) event at Marine Corps Outlying Field Oak Grove, North Carolina, Nov. 4, 2020. Marine Wing Support Squadron 271 (MWSS-271) partnered with Seabees with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1 to conduct a BRAAT in order to maintain readiness by demonstrating the ability to rapidly restore an airfield to operational capability following a simulated attack. Trossen, a native of Osceola, Indiana, is the commanding officer of engineer company, MWSS-271.
