(Oct. 22, 2020) Builder 3rd Class Cameron Appleyard, from Keyser, W.Va., assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1, simulate returning fire on an enemy aggressor during Convoy Security Element (CSE) training at Camp Shelby, Miss., Oct. 22, 2020. CSE provides a secure, tactical means of moving personnel and equipment autonomously in a contingency environment. NMCB 1 is conducting a rigorous homeport training plan to execute construction, humanitarian assistance, and theater security operation.
