U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 721st Aerial Port Squadron conduct a security bag check during exercise Nodal Lightning 20-2. The 721st APS Airmen took on the responsibilities of the contracted aerial port German security specialist to simulate limited personnel during an operationally limited environment. Exercise Nodal Lightning 20-2’s objective on Ramstein was to execute live events focused on executing the mission in a contested, degraded, and/or operationally limited environment.
