SAN DIEGO (Oct. 22, 2020) Trevor Kingsbury, a biomechanist and interim laboratory director of Naval Medical Center San Diego's (NMCSD) Clinical Biomechanics Laboratory, collects data during a gait analysis at the hospital Oct. 22. NMCSD's Clinical Biomechanics Laboratory's primary mission is to perform biomechanical analyses in conjunction with measuring functional outcomes and quality of life in patients with lower-extremity trauma within the Department of Defense. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has changed the way many facets of healthcare are conducted, and NMCSD has adapted some of its techniques and practices to keep both staff and patients safe while delivering the high-quality healthcare they’ve come to expect.
