SILVERDALE, Wash. (Sept. 25, 2020) – Electronics Mechanic, Jill Wokowsky and Electronics Apprentice, Kirsten Steffens, in the Weapons Repair Department (Code 35A) at Trident Refit Facility Bangor (TRFB), act as safety watches while a periscope is raised into a test tower at TRFB on Sept. 25. Periscopes are placed into a shipboard simulator to verify optical and mechanical readiness before installation onto Ballistic Missile Submarines (SSBNs).
