The change of responsibility ceremony was held in conjunction with the redesignation ceremony of the 2nd Combined Arms Battalion, 137th Infantry Regiment “First Kansas” as the 1st Bn., 635th Armor Regt. in accordance with a 2012 Army Chief of Staff directive.
