Spc. Katherine Wise, a native of Grove City, Ohio, and Spc. Tamika Simmons, a native of Victoria, Texas, both chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear specialists with 21st Chemical Company out of Fort Bragg, N.C., slide a role-player onto a litter carried by Sgt. Jason Lucas, a medic with the 550th Area Support Medical Company also out of Fort Bragg, and a native of The Bronx, N.Y., at Mascatatuck Urban Training Complex, Ind., Aug. 1. Wise and Simmons covered the role-player with a blanket after decontamination and handed her over to the medics for further treatment. The soldiers are participating in Vibrant Response 13, a major field training exercise conducted by U.S. Northern Command and led by U.S. Army North.
