Sgt. Thadius I. According to his leadership, Sawyer consistently demonstrates superior technical acumen by providing intelligence support to ongoing 2nd MEB requirements. Fighting well above his weight class, his performance to date has exceeded the expectations of a Marine of his grade and has not gone unnoticed by his peers and leadership alike. During the month of September, Sgt. Sawyer provided exemplary knowledge, outstanding finished intelligence products, and supported the satisfaction of numerous intelligence requirements requested of the MEB G-2 which were in the turn used to support planning and ultimately the commanding general’s decision-making process for and during mission rehearsal Atlantic Response 20.1. Sawyer’s professionalism and expertise was particularly evident during an intelligence preparation of the battlespace executive brief provided to the 2nd MEB commanding general and the entire 2nd MEB staff which serving as a primer at the onset of the exercise execution. His steadfast bearing and articulacy were apparent manifestations of his dedication to the mission and excellent subject matter expertise. As a marine NCO, sergeant sawyer sets the example in Military tact and bearing, technical and tactical proficiency, and his service and conduct are beyond reproach. Sergeant sawyer has also already taken the initiative to complete many of his fiscal year training requirements by completing the pistol range and gas chamber within the first 2 days of October.
