In a virtual promotion ceremony on Oct. 3, Joette Nash pins the rank of major on the hat of her son, Army Reserve officer, Eugene Nash, 367th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment. The family participated in the event from their family home as a way to protect Nash’s father, Robert, who developed serious health issues after suffering a stroke in June.
