NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (Aug. 5, 2020) Manolo Marquez, engineer in utilities engineering maintenance shop at Public Works Department Rota, is part of a team that converts outside electricity from 66 kilowatts and 50 hertz to 5.5 kilowatts and 50 hertz that powers the U.S. Navy across the base. This converted power is also used by all U.S. Naval ships that use ship to shore power at the pier.
